The line graph illustrates that how indigenous use of modern technology in the households of UK has changed between 1996 and 2003. The domestic access to CD player remained the most prevalent one over the seven years, which increased from 60% in 1996 to just above 80% in 2002. No family accessed to internet at home in UK until 1998. However, the number of households who accessed to internet at home quadrupled from around 10% to just over 40% during the mentioned period. The use of home computer in UK was the second most popular one at the beginning whereas the use of mobile phone exceeded it between 1998 and 2000, at about 36%. The letter rose more than triply from just under 20% to approximately 70% throughout this period. Although the access to home computer also grew gradually, it became the second least common one with roughly 55% as a result in 2002. Overall, the domestic access to four different modern technologies reveals upward trends since 1996, but the fluctuation is also showed in the use of mobile phones.
