The graph below illustrates the information about the employment of teachers in Ontario in the course of six years, from 2001. Overall, first-year teachers had a tendency to work as French teachers rather than English teachers. The trend for both works experienced the same decrease in the first two years and changed oppositely after that. In 2001, people working as English and French teachers were 73% and 70% respectively. Those figures dramatically drop into 58% and 53% respectively in the next year. The year 2003 witnessed a significant rise in the number of first-year teachers working as French educators, at 78%. Meanwhile, the number of English teachers continued to fell down to 40%. Look at the graph in more detail, in the next three years, people choosing a career as French and English teacher slightly grow by 3%. In 2005, the figure for French teachers was 70%, whereas merely 43% was English teachers. In addition, that figure dramatically dipped to under 30% in the end of the period.
