The first bar chart tells us about the computer ownership during the year of 2002 – 2010, the graph shows 5 bars with a horizontal axis that starts at 2002 and ends at 2010 with 2 year gap period for each milestone. As is seen on the first bar chart, the computer ownership has been increasing steadily, the increment trend of computer ownership started at 58% and finally reached around 78% in 2010. The average year-on-year growth was around 2% yearly. If we look on a deeper level, we can try to segregate the computer ownership by education level at the same period. The education level categorization is divided by 5 bracket which are the no high school diploma, the high school graduate, the college (incomplete), the bachelor’s degree, and the postgraduate qualification. Based on the second bar chart, we can visualize that the largest discrepancy between the starting period and the ending period is the no high school diploma and the high school graduate. While the smallest discrepancy is shown by the postgraduate qualification group.
