The graph compares changes in consumption figures for different kinds of meat and fish in an European country from 1979 to 2004. To begin, it is evident from the diagram that beef was the most popular type of meet in the beginning, however, a dramatic decline was noticed. Whereas, chicken consumption was just a little below the lamb intake at the start, nevertheless, it became the most popular meal throughout the period. In contrast, the figure for the fish remained the least significant and unchanged relatively throughout the time. In the first year, the consumption of beef was above 200 grams per person per week, after which it experienced an abrupt drop of 50 before increasing to about 240 in 1984. There were small fluctuations noticed till 1989, followed by drastic decrease at about half as high as its orginal level in 2004. On the other hand the figure for lamb was slight high than that of chicken, almost aroubd 150. However, the former declined steadily, as it reached to 60 in the last year, the latter noticed a considerable rise and it outstripped the beaf in 1989 and this significant consumption reached 250 grams per person per week. Moreover, it became the most popular throughout the period. In contrast, fish remained the least significant throughout the time and experienced a small fall of 10 figures.
