The given graph illustrates how many households used cars in Great Britain over a 39-year period between 1961 and 2000. Overall, what stands out from the graph is that there were gradual upward trends in households that had no car and two or more cars; whereas, the percentage of households who used only one car witnessed a considerable decrease. It is noticeable that that families had only car made up the highest number during the 39-year period. Looking at the details, in terms of those households who had only one car, there was a considerable fall of about 30% from a hefty 75% to just over 40%, followed by levelling off at approximately 42% onwards.
