The line graph illustrates the change in four types of transportation which was taken for weekend events in Melbourne in three different years namely 1950, 1980 and 2010.
Overall, the data of busses, foot and bicycles significantly decreased throughout the period, in contrast with that of cars.
Regarding two eco-friendly transportations, the figure of foot was higher than that of bicycles, which was about 35 units and nearly 30 units respectively in 1950 and they continually had an almost 5 units difference in the statistics in 2010. However, in 1980, 19 units of walking were taken for recreational purposes, which was lower than the number of cycling used for these activities, which stood at 23 units.
Moving to cars and busses, while the usage of cars dramatically increased from over 5 units at the beginning to about 35 units after 60 years, that of bus hitted the highest point standing at about 30 units in 1980 before dropping to approximately 15 units in 2010.
