The line graph illustrates two different languages that have been chosen by 13-year-old pupils. Overall, it is clear that many 13-year-old students love to learn French more than Mandarin. The figure for both languages are having a massive difference over a period of almost 20 years. On the one hand, the number of students chose this language which reached a peak for nearly 160 students in 2000. Then it hit the lowest point just over 90 students in 2005. Afterward, French slightly rose up about 100 students and decreased gradually at approximately 90 students in the present. From the mentioned period, there was a dramatical changing in French. On the other hand, the figure for Mandarin first started at 0 but it considerably skyrocketed and hit the highest point at nearly 80 students in 2005. After that, Mandarin showed some fluctuation and stopped at almost 80 students at the present in similar in 2005. Both French and Mandarin at first were having a big dissimilar level. However, at the present, the number of 13-year-old student choosing French are nearly as same as Mandarin.
