The line graph compares the information about energy consumption in the USA from 1980 to 2030, and the data is taken from Annual Energy Outlook 2008. Overall, it is clear that petrol and oil, natural gas, and coal increased while nuclear, solar/wind and hydropower fluctuated over the period shown. With regards to natural gas and coal, they started at 20 units and around 15 units in 1980. Then, natural gas decreased gradually and reached just above 15 units in 1985. From 1985 to 1990, both of these figures remained the same at just over 15 units. Afterward, coal overtook natural gas and reached more than 20 units before remained stabilized between 1995 and 2005 at less than 25 units. Then, it is predicted steady rise to roughly 30 units by 2030. From 1990 to 2015, natural gas fluctuated, and it is estimated to remain constant by 2030. By contrast, petrol and oil fluctuated between 30 and 35 units till 1995, but it is anticipated a sharp increase to just below 50 units in 2030. In terms of nuclear, solar/wind, and hydropower, they stood at just below 5 units, and remained equaled till 1985, then they fluctuated and it is predicted to remained constant, and finished at between 0 and 10 units in 2030.
