By two bar charts, data about the computer possession and its development from 2002 to 2010 are shown. Thereby, additional to these general information, the distribution of the computer owner by level of education is presented.
In general, a steadily growth of possessors of computers can be recognized until the year 2010. At the beginning of the first bar chart, in 2002, just over half of the people have a computer on their own. This number has significantly increased during the following eight years, so that 2010 almost 80% of the population owned this technical device. Consequently this is a growth of over 20%.
Furthermore, by analysing the second bar chart, it become clear that, regardless the level of education, the number of computer owners had risen considerably between 2002 and 2010. Nevertheless, dramatic differences between the different academic stages can be seen. Possessors, who do not have a high school diploma, almost trebled during this time from 15% to over 40% and so made the biggest growth. At the same time, there were big increases of ownerships by graduates of high school as well as by college students (not graduated), about 30% by both of them. However, the graduates and postgraduates of college had the highest percentage of computer possessors reaching 90% and 95% respectively in 2010.
In conclusion, the count of computer ownerships climbed significantly in general, and across all stages of education.
