The provided line graph compares the usage of water in all over the world by three different sectors namely; agriculture, industry and domestic over 20th century and table compares the same by a person in Brazil and Congo for the year of 2000. Overall, agricultural activities required as high as two-fold of the total of other two areas and in Brazil water usage was higher in 2000 as population and land under irrigation were much higher comparatively. As is observed from the provided line graph, industrial and domestic activities showed nearly similar trend in terms of water consumption from 1900 to 1940. However, the usage of water by industries grew gradually from approximately 200 in 1950 to 1300 km3 in 2000. As far as domestic purposes are concerned, it the usage experience a minimal growth after 1960. Around 400 km3 of water was used globally in domestic activities in 2000. Agriculture sector was accounted for 500km3 of water usage in 1900, which was much higher than both other areas (nearly 50km3 in domestic as well as industrial purposes). By 1950, the water consumption by farming had reached a mark of about just over 1000km3 which was much higher than other sectors. The usage of water by farming grew dramatically and touched a peak of over 3000 km3 in 2000, which was double of the same by the industries and about five-fold of household consumption. As far as water consumption in Brazil and the Democratic Republic of Congo is concerned, it was 359km3 for Brazil with 176 million people living and 26, 500 km2 of farmland in the year of 2000. In Congo, it was much lower with the population of 5. 2 million and only 100km2 of land under irrigation.
