As a general trend, the majority of Americans ate fast food between once a week and once or twice a month in all three years. Furthermore, the lowest percentage was reached by people eating there daily basic. As is presented in the chart, the total proportion of Americans who have meals out of home once a week stood at just other 30% in 2003 and rose to around 33% in 2006. After which it experienced a drop to approximately 5% in 2013. In contrast, the group of people who went to restaurant once or twice a month witnessed a decline of 10% between 2003 and 2006. Following this, it surpassed people eating fast food every week by rising to roughly 33% in the final year of the period. The proportion of those eating in fast-food restaurant several times a week varied between 15% and 20%. while the percentage eating there a few times a year showed an increase from 13% to 15% over the period. Regarding the lowest percentage, people consuming fast food at restaurant everyday remind below 5% over 10-years period. In addition, around 4% of people avoided fast food restaurant completely.
