The given pie charts compare the average expenditures of households' major categories of two countries Japan and Malaysia in 2010. Overall, what stand out from the pie graphs is that both the countries spent almost same amount of average expenditure on housing and food, whereas, the least average expenditure spent on transportation in both the countries. To commence with, in Japan slightly less than one-third of total household expenditure spent on housing. However, an almost a quarter of expenditure spent on food, whereas an identical amount of average household expenditure spent on healthcare and other goods and services which was 20% and 21% respectively in Japan in 2010. In regard to Malaysia, 30% of total household expenditure spent for other goods and services, while only 3% spent on transportation which was the least spending in 2010 in Malaysia. Moreover, around the quarter of total spent on housing and food from household expenditure and 10% spent on healthcare by Malaysian in 2010.
