The given maps show changes made to the village of Ryemouth from 1995 up to today 6xW28
The maps illustrate the changes that have taken place in the village of Ryemouth since 1995. The farmland and the forest which were present to the north eastern side of the village in 1995 have been removed and a golf course and a tennis court have been constructed instead. A car parking facility has also been built to the east of the hotel located in the south eastern region. The road running in the north-south direction of the village had houses on either side in 1995 in the north-western region. This residential area has been retained even today but the number of houses has now increased. The shops which were situated in the south-western part of the village, on the upper side of the road running in the east-west direction, have been demolished and have been replaced by restaurants at the present time. The fish market located on the other side of this road has today been removed and in its place apartments have been constructed. The sea port that was present in the southern-most region has altogether disappeared today. Overall, the village witnessed a great deal of changes between 1995 and now. Some new facilities such as a golf court, a tennis court, apartments and car parking facilities have been added.
