The given line graph illustrates how the proportion of people in four different groups living in New Zealand changed between 1950 and 2050. Overall, it is obvious that New Zealand has an aging population with the dominant group being the over 65 group. However, it is predicted that there will be increases in the youngest age group and the 38-45 group, while the opposite can be seen in the other two groups. In 1950, the population of those older than 65 was highest, accounting for 60% of the total, in comparison with the figures for 25- 37 and 38- 45, at 20% and 25% respectively.
