The given charts demonstrate the proportions of engineers who held Bachelor, Master and PhD certificates in Arts and Science faculties between 1980 and 2008. Overall, it is noticeable that there was an increase in the figures for people who had PhD qualification, while that of Bachelor's had an opposite trend and that of Master’s remained for both years. In addition, science programmes seemed to be more popular than arts ones. As is presented in the graphs, the Bachelor Arts accounted for a quarter of the figure in 1980 before reducing to 11% 28 years later.
