The given graph represents the total population of world and also depicts the population of urban areas and rural areas from the year 1950 and forecast till 2030. Overall, what stands out from the graph is that the world's population shows an upward trend in the whole time period, whereas urban and rural population both shows an opposite trend in the present and till the future. To commence with, in 1958, the world's population was 2. 5 billions. However, the population rose significantly as year passed and reached slightly more than seven billions in 2020. Moreover, the population number is 7. 8 billions in present days. It is forecasted that the world population will likely to increase in the near future and will have reached at more than eight billions by the year 2030. Additionally, the urban and the rural population showed similar trend till the year 1985 where urban population was around 2 billions and rural population was almost three billions respectively. After a decade, urban population increased dramatically and reach 4. 5 billion in 2020, while the rular population decrease slightly and reach 3 billion in 2020. However, it is predicted that in the future years, urban population will rise and by the year 2030 and reach more than 5 billions, whereas rural population likely to be decreased and will have reach less than 3 billions by the year 2030.
