The given bar chart illustrates the information about the number of incidents and injuries per 100 million passenger miles traveled by five types of transportation: commuter rail, heavy and light rail, bus and demand response in 2002.
Overall, the highest number of incidence and injury events were found on demand response transportation. On the other hand, there were minimal injuries and incidents occurs by commuter rail.
It is clear from the graph that in commuter rail, the numbers of incidents and injuries were approximately 20/PMT. Moreover, 50 incidences were occurred by heavy rail. Nearly 70 incidents found by light rails and injuries were quite low as compared to incidents.
It can be seen from the graph that, there was the almost same number of incidents and injuries happened during bus transportation which was approximately 60-70. Last, the incidents caused by demand response were relatively high compared to other means of transportation, which was more than 250/PMT and 170/PMT for incidents and injuries.
Today, we live in the 21st century but many people still live with past ancient thoughts and theories because they think that it gives some life lessons to live in modern life, whereas other people believe that it is worthless to learn about the past. I largely disagree with the former view. This essay will cover my opinion.
To begin with, there are many situations where people have to learn from the past. Firstly, India has a very wide and incredible history such as Mahabharata, Bhagavata Gita, and Ramayana.
These stories are very popular not only in India but also worldwide. This past history has influenced many people in the modern world. Moreover, the Bhagvat Gita has solutions to each and every problem of our life. Also, the characters of Mahabharata and Ramayana such as Lord Krishna, ord Ram, and Arjuna are the ideal person for their loyalty, hard work, and dedication.
Further, we can take the example of our freedom fighters such as Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel, veer Bhagat Singh that, how they had a fight for our nation. Our modern generation is busy playing video games and social media which are destroying their future. They can learn a lot from past history. Additionally, in past, some skills are really great but it is evading in present because of technology development. Youngstars have to learn that skills and arts to preserve our culture. India had really beautiful architecture in temples and ports.
On the other hand, some time past can destroy our present. For example, in earlier days girls could not educate themself. Secondly, if one person had a bad past incidence and the remembering of that incidence can destroy his present.
To conclude, we can learn good life lessons from the past, but sometimes it gives an adverse effect on our present.
Due to advancements in technology, people are becoming more and more materialistic. They are relying on gadgets and automated machinery. Computers are a common necessity of modern genera. Schools should use computers for educational purposes. On the other hand, there are some side effects of this on pupils. I agree with the former view of the statement. And this essay will discuss both views in the upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, everything is available on the internet. One can visit the whole world by computers and laptops. There are several advantages of the installation of desktops in the classroom. Firstly, Students can learn animated lessons on computers and projector screens. This increases the visualization power of students, also they can understand complex topics very easily. Secondly, in this competitive world students must be multitasking and must know all the computer skills. Thirdly, Students can learn various international languages with the help of listening on computers. Moreover, it is easy for tutors to teach many students on one screen of a projector. Students can save offline videos of lectures and they can relearn them in their spare time. I am giving my own experience that, In my school days, there was one period allotted for projector learning. On that day there was 100% attendance of students. Thus it increases the interest and curiosity of children.
However, there are+ some disadvantages to doing so. Pupils may get addicted to computers and some health issues may develop, such as obesity and eyesight. The value of teachers becomes less due to the availability of the internet and computers. Further, not every student is smart to catch every program of computers. In last, book and pen-paper-based learning may evade from student's life.
To conclude, it is good to have a smart classroom in school; on the contrary, totally dependence on computers may harm students.
