The line graph illustrates the figure for the population of residents who are from and over 65 years old from 1940 to 2020 in three surveyed nations which are Japan, Sweden and the USA. Overall, both three listed countries winessed an upward trend in the percentage of the 65-year-old and over population from 1940 to nowadays and it is predicted to increase continuously until 2040. The most striking feature of this chart is the proportion of the population aged from and over 65 in the Japan. Between 1940 to 1980, Japan recorded an slight decrease in the pecentage of 65-and-over people from 5% and hit a bottom at 3%, before it recovered as the first start at 5% in the year 2020. In 2025, there is a predict that the proportion of the 65-and-over population rocketed up from 10% to 25% in the next 2 years. It is also important to note that the pattern of the percentage of 65-and-over residents of the USA and Sweden was similar in almost the given period, except the 2000-2020 period. Between 2000 and 2020, the gap of the 65-and-over population of that two countries was enormous, while the oppostive was true before that period and perdicted to be right after the year 2020.
