The first pie chart illustrates the energy usage in an Australian household and the second one demonstrates the greenhouse gas emissions as a result from this usage.
In the first chart, households has used the most energy with heating which is 42%, this followed by water heating with 30% and other appliances with 15%. While refrigeration, lighting, cooling uses 7%, 4%, 2% of the total respectively, which makes 13% in sum.
The second chart shows water heating has the biggest portion of the gas emissions with 32% while other appliances with 28% and heating with 15% follows that. Respectively, the gas emissions from refrigeration, lighting and cooling is 14%, 8%, 3%.
These two charts clearly represents that heating's gas emissions percentage less than it's percentage of energy usage. Besides, water heating, other appliances, refrigeration, lighting and cooling households' percentage of gass emissions more than their energy usage percentage. While heating uses the most energy compare to the rest; this is not same on the greenhouse gas emissions.
