The pie charts provide information regarding the consumption of energy by various items in a household and the emission of greenhouse gases caused by these household elements. Overall, heating of water consumed electricity the most whereas cooling utilized energy the least. Meanwhile, heating water produced the maximum greenhouse gas emission while cooling emitted the least greenhouse gases. Water heating accounted for 35% of the energy consumption and is responsible for 32% of the greenhouse gases generated. Refrigeration used only 7% of the power but generated 14% of emissions. Other appliances consumed 15% of the electricity and responsible for almost twice the proportion of the emissions (28%). Lighting used up 4% of the energy consumption but accounts for twice the percentage of emissions (8%). Cooling used a paltry 2% of the power supply and generated 3% of the emissions. Heating is responsible for 42% of power consumption and 15% of emissions respectively.
