The diagrams illustrate 3 different types of bridge
Overall, the design of 3 bridges differs in terms of height and the way we use it. Each type is suitable for a specific location, such as a lake, a river, and a sea.
The Arch bridge is constructed to cross small areas of water such as lakes, and it has a maximum length of about 200 meters. Its no more than 100 meters in height only permits small ships to go across. In contrast, a concrete girder bridge is constructed by pliers which distance is no more than 200 meters. However, it has a limitless amount of pliers used in other to across a bigger water area such as a river. Medium-sized ships can go through this type of bridge, which can be more than 300 meters in height.
Finally, on the sea, a suspension bridge enables large-sized ships to go across it, because of the depth it goes through. Pliers can be spaced between 400 to 2000 meters-depending on terrain-about 10 times more than the distance between pliers of a concrete girder bridge.
