The diagram represents salmon life cycle from a tiny fry to adult salmon. Overall, it is noticeable that salmon have 3 stages of life. Moreover, the average life of salmon are approximately 9 years. Focusing on the first stages, the parents salmon lay their eggs in the reeds at the upper river, which is a slow moving water. It takes about 5-6 months for the eggs to become a fry. In addition, fry are baby salmons, which length about 3-8 cm. However, when they grow enough, the fry will move their habitat to fast flowing water at the lower river. Turning to the second and last stages, after living at low river for 4 years, the size of the fry increase to 12-15 cm, and it is called smolt. Consequently, smolt swim to the open sea and become a full-grown adult salmon, which length 70-76 cm. Furthermore, adult fish lives there for further 5 years, and they lay their eggs behind the small stones as the beginning. Finally, the cycle starts again.
