The diagram illustrates the design for a wave-energy machine and its location.
Overall, it is clear that there are two different types of wave-energy machine based on output and installation costs. Also, the main components are chambers, turbines and electricity generaters.
To begin with, the two types could be installed in water features whether in shallow and deep levels. Furthermore, installing the machine in shallow water costs less, and in that case it uses small waves to produce low amount of energy. While, locating it in deep water costs more and uses high waves to produce large amount of energy.
However, a hole in the machine should be located under water surface in the wave direction to catch waves. wave motion results in an increase in water level inside the machine and air flows up through holes and then move through turbine to generate electricity. Meanwhile, chambers on the top of above water surface allow air flow to move the turbine and move down passing through another chamber to balance air pressure on the water surface.
