In the diagrams below, the process and the structure that are used to generate electricity from the sea specifically from waves power are being described. Overall, it can be seen that in the first diagram, waves push up air, in order to produce electricity. Besides, in diagram b the air goes in the opposite direction, and the mechanisms continue to function so that it still produces energy. Firstly, the first step of the process is that the chamber is filled with water, then the power of the wave pushes a current of air upwards through the column in order to make the turbine spin, therefore the energy is being produced. However, the process does not end there. Secondly, the wave recedes from the structure, consequently it draws air down the column. In addition, the structure has a specific mechanism, therefore the turbine will continue to spin in the same direction in order to keep producing electricity.
