The diagram shows the town of Sanditon Beach before and after the building of an airport

Displayed in the diagram is the town of Sanditon Beach before and after the construction of an airport. The general picture of Sanditon before the airport is that of a tiny town with one motel, one major lane and a few buildings located just by the beach. There does not seem to be a lot going on in such a tight-knit town. On the contrary, after the airport is constructed, we can see not just an improvement in the new hotel structures but in the buildings as well. There is more than one roadway presently to connect places together and to also help with the traffic that accompanies somewhat developed cities. In the diagram, we can see airplanes in the hanger, one on the runway preparing for take off and two others coming behind. Due to the current developments in Sanditon, there exists a dock which would help the ships navigating the waters at Sanditon. Although retained, available are two modern lodgings to rival the 6 bedroom lodge that was in Sanditon previously. One of the new lodges which is located closest to the dock has over 30 rooms and seems to be made up of 4 floors whereas, the resort farthest from the dock consists of about 8 floors which probably seems to be able to receive the tourists that would now frequent Sanditon due to its advancements. The house that were in Sanditon previously have also now been moved away from the beach and are connected to the major road. They have also taken a more current look consisting of about two storey and even having an attic as can be seen from the attic windows shown in the diagram as opposed to the bungalows that once graced Sanditon Beach. Overall, Sanditon appears to have expanded with the building of an airport allowing more businesses which would invariably aid development. The present-day Sanditon however, does not completely do away with the aged as the main roadway and the original resort are retained.
