The diagram shows the process by which electricity is generated in two types of hydroelectric power station. nEQ3K
The diagram illustrates the way in which electricity is being generated in two different stations. Water passes through five stages before generating electricity; however, the traditional version of it merely needs three stages. Regarding the modern version of hydroelectric power, the process begins with diverting the river water into a new channel as it is flowing downhill. In the next step, water flow rotates huge blades of a turbine, which causes the turbines to turn the generators, following this, the electricity power would be generated and conducted in the next stage by the assistance of multiple transmission lines. Furthermore, the final stage includes returning utilized water back into the river. Conversely, the traditional hydroelectric plant follows partially the same pattern as the modern one; however, the source of the intake water is dam water in lieu of river and water flows down to another located dam beneath the first one. There is no flow limitation in the modern system, Conversely, water can be stabilized in the primary stations.
