The map illustrates differences between Liverton Dock then and now. Overall, there has been a lot of innovation, especially that the function has been transformed significantly, from commercial area to residential area with novel services. Following the first picture, four ships drifted on the river flows along the coast in the centre of harbour. Both sides of the river also had warehouses and cranes, where goods were stored and loaded. There were two warehouses in the north river and a crane was placed in the middle of them. Opposite to the north, there was only one crane and warehouse beside the river. In this day and age, everything changed completely from 1980, all works have been rebuilt, deposities, derricks and ships are substituted by essential services. The ship museum is located on the river, and can be seen from there. On the left hand side, the storehouse was evolved to an education centre and kid’s playing area, and the crane was replaced by a sailing club. Regarding the south, a river walk was built close to the embankment, they established a new hotel and parking and a shed changed into apartments.
