Figure A indicates traditional method in irrigation purpose by two men who use ropes and basket made of bamboo or leather called swing basket. In swing basket method farmers need to provide an irrigation channel in advanced, then, they use the tools (basket and ropes) to lead the water from a hole or river into the irrigation channel. The important note that should be paid attention is the depth of hole or river than must be in 1 to two meters range.
The method rope and bucket is shown in Figure B. In this method an animal like cow is able to be used as the force source connecting to a bucked via ropes in a well. The well is placed on a higher height which would help to cow to move easier. Bucket is able to be transferred from the bottom of the well up to meters and will pour into an irrigation channel.
Overall, using swing basket could be a tough task for provide water for field irrigation. While applying animals make it easier and the recovery yield might be higher. But the important point is the depth of water in which make farmers to decide between two methods.
