As it obvious in the figure, road transportation is the most popular goods transfer method all over the period. It rises from 70 million tones in 1914 to 95 million tones in 2002 gradually. Furthermore, pipeline transportationis transferring only 20 million tones in 2002 while in 1974 it was not an important transportation method at all. More ever, water and rail transferred equal amount of goods in 1974 with 40 million tones, water transportation faced a drastic ascend in 1980 to 60 million tones. In contrast, rail transportation decreased to 30 million tones in 1984 and then fluctuatedaround 35 million tones during this span of 28 year. In conclusion, roads with almost double as goods' transportation by rails and waters and five time as many as pipelines, are the most popular transportation sector in 2002.
