The given picture provides a detailed description about the process of formation of aerated drinks. Overall, there are five steps involved in the generation of carbonated drinks, starting from the cleansing of water till the last step of delivering the drinks to the supermarket. It can be observed that fiteration takes place twice. Firstly in stage 1 as well as in stage 4. It begins with filtering and softening of the raw water with the help of chemicals.
