The diagram below shows the recycling process of aluminium cans. jwg8
The diagram describes the regeneration of aluminum cans. Overall, the process contains 7 steps beginning with collecting cans until ending with reusing cans. Firstly, the cans need to be taken to a special collecting center instead of being throwing from normal refuse. These cans are collected from here and are taken to a factory where they are firstly sorted and cleaned. Next, the cans are shredded and crushed in a special machine. The metal is then heated to a high enough temperature allowing the aluminum to melt. It is rolled out to flat to a thickness between 2. 5mm to 6mm depending upon what it is going to use for. As a result, aluminum is now ready to be recycled for new package, such as drinking containers. Finally, the new cans are delivered to a soft drink factory where they are filled. These cans can be sold to public and then reused. In UK, 74% of cans that are sold are reprocessed.
