The illustration demonstrates the process of creating newspapers from plantation to paper and then the process of recycling the newspapers for further use.
The first process involves cutting down the trees, sending them into a machine in which the barks are removed and stripped from the lugs, and then putting it into a machine that chip the lugs. After that, starts the process of heating, refining, pressing, and drying. That is putting the chipped lug material into a refining machine to be heated, crushed to a heavy pulp, cleaned, and chemichally bleached. At this stage, water is added to the pulp to make a combination that pass through rollers in order to become flattened, pressed, and dried.
Although the newspaper is out in this stage, the process do not end here. Afetr publishing the newpaper, the kerbsides are recollected, going through the process of removing the inks. Having been de-inked, the paper will be cleaned and fine screened to be delivered to machine producing the pulp that’s been recycled now. Here is the stage when newspapers are made out of recycled paper. However, this is an ongoing process using the paper for further use. That way, the cutting of trees is diminished without compromising the quality and use of newspaper.
