The diagram below shows the life cycle of the silkworm and the stages in the production of silk cloth.

The life cycle depicts the information about different phases involved in the silk moth while the process chart illustrates how silk both produces silk cloth. Taking a general overview, the life cycle of the silkworm and production of silk cloth, cocoon is necessary. It can be clearly seen that in life cycle of the silkworm in first phase, the cycle begins with the eggs, which are produced by the moth. In second phase after 10 days, they become silkworm larva who feed on mulberry leaf within 4-6 weeks. In third phase, larva produces silk thread which converts into cocoon in 3-8 days. In the last phase, it takes 16 days to become a moth. Turning to the flow chart of silk cloth production in cocoon is the raw materials. Once it is selected, it is boiled in the water, subsequently, the boiled cocoon is sent for unwinding phase, twisting it into thread to make thread of 300-900m. After this twisting thread is ready for dryer and it gets converted the into cloth in wearing stage.
