The illustrated diagram below shows how electricity is produced using geothermal power plant. It has five phases which starting from a pumping down a cold water to generator turbine which produce electricity.
To begin with the process, cold water is needed then pumped down through the ground around 4. 5 km. The cold water will be going to the injection well that produces Geothermal zone or hot rocks under the ground. Likewise, the production will then convert cold into hot water which has the same depth factor of 4. 5 km and eventually pumped up to a condenser.
Hence, the condenser above the ground produces steam from hot water. This method will then supply steam which is used for powering the turbine and lastly this generator powered by turbine will produces electricity and transmit.
To sum up, there are five steps of how geothermal energy produces electricity. And using only cold water, it will produces into a electricity.
