The Clock Tower in Dubai between the past and the present

The Clock Tower in Dubai between the past and the present b3l86
The supplied maps represent the comparisons of the changes of Clock Tower Roundabout in Dubai between the past and the present. In general, a significant amendment was witnessed in Dubai in recent decades. From a deserted, sparse place, it has become more modern and crowded. It’s crystal clear that the most striking feature of Dubai in these two maps is the Clock Tower in the middle of the roundabout. The main change for the Tower involves trees being planted around and making this location becomes greener and more alive. The vacant lots are displaced by buildings. A lot of high buildings are built that are lined two sides of the road along. However, trees at road edges are chopped-down in order to give way to them. One of the biggest changes to Dubai is in the past, the scene was quiet and peaceful because of lacking transportations, yet in the present, as can be seen, there are abundant cars on every street. Although it makes the scene becomes more bustling, it can be inferred that such heavy traffic can lead to frequent traffic jams. In contrast, there are several characteristics that still be kept the same. First of all, no changes were made to the roads. The location, direction, and lane of them have remained the same over the decades. Additionally, the location and structure of the tower are also preserved, perhaps because it is a symbol of Dubai. Lastly, vacant lots in the southwest and southeast have not yet been planned and built, they are still left blank as before. Hence, those are the same and differences in Dubai between the past and the present.
