A highly controversial issue today relates to an increasing use of technology, such as laptops and mobile phones, in the classrooms. It is often argued that this is a positive way to enhance the education, whilst others disagree and say that they lead to many serious problems. In this essay, I am going to examine this question from both points of view and then explain why I believe an increase in technology beneficially provides convenience in study. There are people who argue that the benefits of technology are regarded as the significant tools to access reliable sources of information. The main reason for believing this is the internet provides a lot of knowledge that students can do research using online resources. It is also possible to say that technology is a powerful equipment to engage learners. One good illustration of this is Google which is a renowned search engine: provides images, learning websites, useful videos and maps. On the other hand, others believe that there are a lot of drawbacks using computers in study. It is often argued that using technology consider unhealthy because scholars have to look at the monitors all time this can lead to bad eyesight and headache. People often have this opinion because always spotting one thing and not having exercise for a long time can cause not only eye problems but also lead to deterioration of all parts of the body. A particularly good example here is the majority of the new generation have to wear glasses that help them from being short-sighted. In conclusion, I believe both arguments have their merits. On balance, however, I feel that using technology in education is important to encourage pupils to concentrate and be able to study by themselves. This is because the college teacher can not enlighten all of the lessons that they have to use for their future job so they should be allowed to utilize technology in the class.
