The given graph compares the distribution of temperatures and precipitation during the twelve-month period in Kolkata. In general, the amount of rain varies considerably and the degree of temperatures saw a stability during the given period. It is clear that the highest figure for rainfall was in July and August, whereas that for the temperatures was in April and May. For the first five months, both rainfall and temperatures experienced a regular climb. The former increased significantly to 100mm, and the latter witnessed a dramatic soar to approxiamtely 30*C in May. Regarding the next four months, there was a sharp rise in the amount of rain, which hit the highest figure at roughly 330mm in July and August after jumping to 250mm in the previous month. Then, there was a slight fall in the rainfall of 50mm in September. In comparison, the temperatures dropped moderately from just above 30*C to around 28*C over the same period. From October to December, roughly 150mm was the amount of rain in October, which plumetted a half in comparison with the previous month before taking a nosedive to about 15mm in the last couple of months. Similarly, the temperatures over this period slumped drammatically by around 10*C.
