The pie charts illustrate the proportion of popularity of five social media channels from 2011 to 2013. Overall, between 2011 and 2013, the most popular social media channel was Facebook. By contrast, Pinterest was the least popular in the same period. In 2011 year, the percentage of favorite people to Facebook channel stood at 59%, whereas that of Twitter followers was lower (21%). From this year to 2013, there was a significant decrease in the figure for Facebook of 21%. Conversely, the proportion of Twitter fans saw a gradual increase to 25%. In 2011 year, the least popular channels were Pinterest and Google+ at 5%. From this year towards, these proportions rose by 3% and 9%, respectively. Similarly, during these two years, the figure for LinkedIn channel fans grew slightly from 10% to 15%. Over the entire period, the most popular channel was Facebook and the second most popular was Twitter and the third most popular was LinkedIn.
