The charts below show the proportions of British students at one university in England who were able to speak other languages in addition to English, in 2000 and 2010

The pie charts illustrates the percentages of British students who were able to speak other different languages besides to English at a certain university in England in 2000 and 2010. Overall, almost one-third of students speak Spanish only in both 2000 and 2010. Furthermore, the percentages of students who speak German only were the same in both years. There was a general trend towards speaking more languages. By and large, there were students who did not speak languages other than English. Those students were represented by 20% of the whole students in 2000, while in 2010 this percentage was significantly declined to its half. Meanwhile, 15% of students were be able to speak French only in 2000 although this percentage decreased to 10% in 2010. Regarding those who speak German language only, it was noticeable that their percentages were similar in 2000 and 2010. When it comes to Spanish, it was the most popular language spoken by the students in the university during 2000 and 2010 where 30% and 35% of students were speaking Spanish in 2000 and 2010, respectively. Noticeably that percentage of those were speaking one other language increased from 15% to 20% in 2000 and 2010, respectively.
