The percent of water used by six different areas in the world is shown on these charts. Although in some places like North America and Europe it is not the case, agricultural use amounts for most of the water consumption in these areas. However Domestic use is consistently low, while the industrial use of water varies considerably depending on the area. In Africa, Central Asia and South East Asia Agricultural use is shown to necessitate more than 80% of their water supply, this changes significantly in Europe and North America where it is much less, taking up 53 percent and 48 percent, respectively. Comparatively the usage of domestic use is always lower than agricultural in every place, always staying between 7 and 19 percent. The main difference in water consumption between these areas comes from Industrial use where usage differs massively, while it is only 7 percent in south East Asia and Central Asia it increases up to 53 percent in Europe, becoming the largest fraction of water consumed in this area.
