Overall, it is clear that Sodium and Saturated fat are mostly added for Dinner meals while Sugar for Snacks. In addition, all these ingredients are the least added for Breakfast meals.
43% of sodium ingredient is added for Dinner meals while the figure for saturated fat accounts for over one-third. 21% and 16% of saturated fats in Snacks and Breakfast meals respectively whilst there is a same percentage of sodium in these meals, at 14%. In Lunch meals have 26% of saturated ingredient in comparison with sodium this figure is a bit higher, representing under a three-tenth.
As for sugar with meals, in the US, over a two-fifth of sugar are added to snacks while for breakfast, it constituted about only 16%. Regarding Dinner and Lunch, 23% and 19% of sugar has in Breakfast’s and Dinner’s meals.
