The given pie chart illustrates the average amount of nutrients consumed during typical meals which if eaten a lot may be unhealthy. These nutrients include sodium, saturated fat, and added sugar. The given data is taken from the United States of America. From the first two charts, it can be observed that the maximum amount of sodium and fats are consumed during dinner time followed by the lunch hours. On the other hand, breakfast contains the least amount of all three nutrients. Added sugar is the most consumed nutrient in snack meals. Looking more closely at all the three charts, we can see dinner contains the maximum amount of sodium (43%) followed by saturated fat (37%) and the least amount of added sugar (23%). Comparatively, breakfast contains the least amount of all the three nutrients with sodium, fat, and sugar at 14%, 16%, and 16% respectively. Snacks have the most amount of added sugar (42%).
