The chart shows the unemployment situation in Australia in the year 2012. qmwr
The chart shows the unemployment percentages in Australia in the year 2012: the blue line highlights the trend in rural areas, while the red one shows the situation in the urban areas. During the four quarters of the year, it is possible to see opposite trends between rular areas and urban ones. While the percentage of unemployment in the rural areas appears to be significantly higher than the one in urban areas starting from the first semester, it tends to decrease during the course of the year. There are some peaks, however they are not significant and the line tends to be quite regular during the quarters, only with a steady decrease between the first and second one. The percentage shown by the red line is very different: in fact it starts at a much lower percentage, but then during the course of the year the line shows a significant increase. Differently from the blue line, it is possible to see more and higher peeks, which show a rapid decrease and increase of the percentages of unemployment in the urban areas. In the end, the two lines, even though they have a different evolution, show that at the end of the fourth quarter of the year the unemployment percentages in the rular and urban areas are almost the same.
