The given line graph provides the information on the unemployment rate in Australia, during the four quaters of 2012. Overall, both rural and urban areas have shown a fluctuating trend in the given duration of time. In rural areas, the unemployement percentage decreased for the first two quarters. It came down from 7 percent to 4. 5 percent. There was then an incline of 1 percent, followed by a small decline in the third quater. The rate remained almost stagnant at 5 percent in the last 3 months of the year. However, in contrast to the rural areas, an increase in the unemployment rate was observed in the urban places. The number grew from 2 percent to 4 percent during the first 6 months of the year. This rate reduced to half in the consecutive quater. In the final quarter, the percetange again reached 4 percent followed by a small dip and then a sudden rise to 5 percent.
