By 1999, the figure for local-fixed line calls reached a peak at 90 billion minutes and decreased subsequently. The number of time for national-international and mobile ones were 50 and 12 billion minutes respectively, and both of them were trending upwards. In 2002, 70 billion minutes were spent on local calls. While the figure of international and national calls passed 60 billion minutes and the minutes of the mobiles rose to around 45 billion minutes.
