The chart shows the average monthly temperature in three different African cities. Write a short description of the chart. J09jD
The chart illustrates the monthly average temperature in three different African cities (Mombasa, Cairo and Cape Town). Overall, the weather pattern in Cairo is the opposite of Cape Town. Furthermore, Mombasa is the hottest city among the three. Mombasa has the highest temperature at the beginning of the year at 80’F that sustains, despite a slight increase of warmth in March to 82'F until April, before the temperature gradually lowers to 75'F in July. The temperature slowly goes up again until December reaching the same temperature it has in January. On the other hand, the average temperature in Cairo is the opposite of Cape Town. From January to March, Cairo begins the year at 55’F and gradually rises to about 67’F by the end of March, while Cape Town goes back from 70 degrees F in January and then drops to the same temperature as Cairo at the end of March. If Cairo's temperature average rose sharply from 67 degrees F to the top in July, Cape Town's temperature dropped to the bottom. The next period - between August and December, temperatures in Cairo dropped sharply and reached the same 65’F as Cape Town in November, meanwhile Cape Town gradually increases from 55’F to 68’F until December of year.
