The bar graph indicates gender ratio for seven different professionals across UK in 2007. The graph indicates that majority of females opt for academic sector followed by therapists. Based on the data reported for that particular year, women teaching staff constituted 90% of total members, whereas, they consist of more than 80% of therapists in the city. On the other hand, majority of men chose career in construction, followed by a scientist and advocate profession. 90% of executives in construction and 60% in scientific laboratories were males. Although Law was third highly opted domain for males, it had more than 50% of total lawyers. Percentage of men in teaching and therapy sectors was lesser than 20%. Advertising sector remained female dominant with around 55% of female employees. Journalism has a balanced structure between both the genders, each sharing 50% of total population. Overall, the percentage of female executives remained higher than male executive when the average for all the professions is considered.
