The chart illustrates the amount of bought and rented households between 1918 and 2011 in England and Wales. The amount is measured in percentage. Overall, the percentage of rented households was at his highest in 1918 in compare with bought household highest stand in 2001. Rented households lost percentage in 2001 against bought households and the same happened in 1918. In 1918, the rental accommodation reached almost 80% of all the households in England and Wales, which means that everybody thought that renting a house is the best solution, because only close to 20% of the people bought a house that year. In 2001, we observe a huge change in the households. Never mind the Nearly 70% of bought accommodations in compare to the slightly over 30% rented houses, it shows us that they changed their mind and think that buying a house is a good investment because renting a house is throwing away of your money.
