The pie chart compares the number of students studying at one university in British in England who can speak various languages other than English in the years 2000 and 2010. Overall, Spanish was the highest spoken languages in both the years, whereas the least number of students can speak no other language except English. In the year 2000, 30% of students are fluent in Spanish, and this number increased 5% in the year 2010. On the other hand, in the same year, 20% of students do not know any language other than English which decreased two folds in 2010 reaching at only 10%. Also, the percentage of students who know any language other than French, Spanish, and German, and the percentage of students who can speak French are similar at 15%. Moreover, the proportion of students who are not able to speak any other language was 2 times higher than the proportion of students who are fluent in German, in the year 2010. The percentage of students who know two other languages increased 5% over the decade, reaching to 15% in the year 2010 from 10% in the year 2000.
