Overall, it is clear that despite some ups and downs throughout the period shown, the cost of bananas in Japan and France has returned to the original price at the end while the figure for Germany and USA increased. Also, it is obvious that bananas in the USA were the least priced among countries. As can be seen from the chart, in 1996, bananas were sold at the similar costs in Japan and France, price at 2 USD per kg. Over the next eight years, the amount of money spent on bananas in Japan fluctuated significantly around 2 USD per kg with the peak of 3 USD per kg in 1998 and the lower of 1. 5 USD per kg in 2003, however, the Japanese figures increased and returned to the price of 2 USD in 2004. Similarly, after stabilizing the price for 3 years, the price of bananas in France fluctuated between 2 and 1. 5 USD before returning to the original price in 2004. Regarding the remaining countries, the cost of bananas in Germany was 1. 5 USD higher than the figure for USA. From 1996 onwards, Germany saw a sharp increase in the price of bananas in 1998 then plummeted to 1. 3 USD per kg but prices rose again and then fell slightly to 2. 3 USD per kg until 2004.
